Everything you need to know about getting from Sarandë to Ksamil by bus.
Getting from Sarandë to Ksamil is actually really easy, and the bus is super cheap.
A one-way ticket costs 150 lek (around €1.30) per person. You pay the driver in cash, so make sure you have some Albanian lek with you.
I recommend having small bills or coins because it just makes everything easier.
The buses run throughout the day. These are the departure times:
One thing to know is that the bus you're taking actually continues all the way to Butrint.
So don't worry if you see Butrint written on the front of the bus. You're simply getting off earlier in Ksamil.
The easiest place to catch the bus is near the ferry terminal and port of Sarandë.
Look for the bus stop on Rruga Jonianet, near the port. There's a roundabout with a big tree, which makes the area pretty easy to recognize.

You can also get on the bus from the city centre. There's a stop near SOS Bar on Rruga Skënderbeu.

📍 HOTEL BUTRINTI BUS STOP →The bus ride from Sarandë to Ksamil is usually around 20–25 minutes, but this can definitely change depending on traffic.
And trust me, traffic can get crazy in July and August, so give yourself some extra time if you're trying to get somewhere at a specific time.
Once you arrive in Ksamil, there are several different bus stops where you can catch the bus back toward Sarandë or Butrint.
You don't necessarily have to go back to the exact place where you were dropped off. There are several stops throughout Ksamil.
